Workers trapped in Uttarkashi Silkyara tunnel just 13 meters away

सचिव उत्तराखंड शासन डॉ. नीरज खैरवाल ने बताया कि पाइप में फंसे ऑगर मशीन की ब्लेड एवं साफ्ट को काटने का कार्य जारी है। इसके लिए लेजर कटर एवं प्लाज्मा कटर को भी मंगाया गया है। जो की सिलक्यारा पहुंच चुका है। उन्होंने बताया अब 13 मीटर के हिस्से को निकाला जाना बाकी है।

सचिव उत्तराखंड शासन डॉ. नीरज खैरवाल ने बताया कि पाइप में फंसे ऑगर बिट को निकाले जाने के उपरांत आगे की माइनिंग का कार्य मैन्युअल रूप से किया जाएगा। जिसके लिए सभी तैयारियां पूरी कर ली गई है। उन्होंने बताया अंदर फंसे सभी श्रमिक सकुशल हैं। सभी श्रमिक हिम्मत बनाए हुए हैं। श्रमिकों से संवाद हेतु बीएसएनएल की मदद से अतिरिक्त कम्युनिकेशन सेटअप तैयार किया गया है। श्रमिकों को पर्याप्त मात्रा में भोजन, एवं अन्य आवश्यक सामग्री मौजूद है। फंसे श्रमिकों का निरंतर डॉक्टरो से संवाद करवाया जा रहा है। साथ ही मनोचिकित्सकों से भी निरंतर परामर्श करवाया जा रहा है।

अपर सचिव (सड़क परिवहन राजमार्ग मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार) एवं एम.डी (एनएचआईडीसीएल) महमूद अहमद ने बताया कि रेस्क्यू ऑपरेशन में कई प्लानिंग पर एक साथ कार्य चल रहा है। जिसके तहत वर्टिकल ड्रिलिंग का कार्य आज शुरू कर लिया गया है। अब तक 15 मीटर वर्टिकल ड्रिलिंग की गई है।  RVNL द्वारा भी परपेंडिकुलर होरिजेंटल ड्रिलिंग का कार्य शुरू किया गया है। इसके लिए सभी मशीनें पहुंच चुकी हैं। परपेंडिकुलर होरिजेंटल ड्रिलिंग हेतु कंक्रीट बेड बनाए जाने का कार्य जारी है।

अपर सचिव (सड़क परिवहन राजमार्ग मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार) एवं एम.डी (एनएचआईडीसीएल) महमूद अहमद ने बताया कि ड्रिफ्ट टनल बनाने के विकल्प पर भी कार्य शुरू किया गया है। ड्रिफ्ट टनल का डिजाइन तय कर फ्रेम के फेब्रिकेशन का कार्य शुरू कर दिया गया है।  THDC  ने भी बड़कोट साइड से टनल का निर्माण शुरू कर दिया है, जिसमें अब तक 4 ब्लास्ट कर 10 मीटर का कार्य पूर्ण कर लिया गया है। ब्लास्टिंग में विशेष सावधानी बरती जा रही हैं।

For this, laser cutter and plasma cutter have also been called for. Which has reached Silkyara. He said that now a portion of 13 meters remains to be removed.

Secretary, Uttarakhand Government, Dr. Neeraj Khairwal said that after removing the auger bit stuck in the pipe, further mining work will be done manually. For which all preparations have been completed. He said that all the workers trapped inside are safe. All the workers are maintaining courage. Additional communication setup has been prepared with the help of BSNL to communicate with the workers. Adequate quantity of food and other necessary materials are available to the workers. The stranded workers are being continuously communicated with the doctors. Apart from this, continuous consultation is also being done with psychiatrists.

Additional Secretary (Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India) and MD (NHIDCL) Mahmood Ahmed said that work on several plans is going on simultaneously in the rescue operation. Under which the work of vertical drilling has been started today. So far 15 meters of vertical drilling has been done. Perpendicular horizontal drilling work has also been started by RVNL. All the machines for this have reached. The work of making concrete bed for perpendicular horizontal drilling is in progress.

Additional Secretary (Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India) and MD (NHIDCL) Mahmood Ahmed said that work has also been started on the option of building a drift tunnel. The design of the drift tunnel has been decided and the fabrication work of the frame has been started. THDC has also started the construction of the tunnel from Barkot side, in which till now 10 meter work has been completed by doing 4 blasts. Special precautions are being taken in blasting.
